CONFLICT RESOLUTION: MEDIATION, MENTORING & COACHING

For when families face loss and legacy

Conflict Coaching

Sometimes the hardest part of conflict is realising you can't change other people - you can only change how you respond to it. That's where coaching comes in.

It doesn't need two to tango. You can't control others, but you can control your words, your thoughts and your actions.

Whether you are dealing with a difficult family dynamic, a workplace tension, or just feeling stuck in a cycle of frustration, coaching can help you move forward with more clarity, confidence and calm.

What is Conflict Coaching

Conflict Coaching is a one-to-one process designed to help you:

  • Understand what's really going on beneath the surface.
  • Respond more effectively in difficult conversations.
  • Build emotional resilience and self-awareness
  • Feel more in control - even when others aren't changing.

It's not therapy and it's not mediation. It's a space just for you, to reflect, reset and grow.

I help you dig deeper, learn about yourself and how YOU apply YOU to YOUR situation.

With perspective comes control and understanding.

Clients tell me they feel they've gained a super-power.

What to expect

I'll listen. Then I'll

  • Ask good questions
  • Help you spot patterns
  • Challenge your thinking (gently)
  • Support you to make changes that stick

Together, we'll explore:

  • What you're reacting to, and why.
  • What values are being triggered (yours and theirs).
  • What you're trying to protect and prove.
  • What boundaries you need to set.
  • What you can let go of.

Often, conflict isn't about the issue - it's about a clash of values. You might value honesty, and they might value harmony. You might value fairness, and they value loyalty.

When values collide, issues get tangled. We'll see what we can unravel, so you can respond with intention.

How coaching can help before a Mediation

Some clients use conflict coaching prior to their inheritance dispute mediation. It can give you a chance to talk things through, untangle your thoughts and figure out what really matters to you.

You can leave conflict coaching with more confidence to handle tricky conversations. I like to think of our sessions as a calm space for you to get grounded, so when you begin your mediation, you feel more prepared, more in control and more like your best self.

I cannot coach any individual where I am the proposed mediator in the dispute. I can coach both participants before a booked mediation with another mediator, if both participants agree.

When there's no Mediation planned or expected

Conflict coaching is a little like having your own inner mediator - someone who helps you pause, reflect, and respond with intention. Inner dialogue is at the heart of conflict coaching. Sometimes the most powerful conversations are the ones you have with yourself.

I can coach you to ask yourself the right questions, such as: What really matters to me here? Why does this feel so difficult? Am I stuck between two values I care about? (Spoiler: this is more common than you think).

Coaching helps you figure out what kind of response feels most true to you. And if you get unstuck, you might not even need a mediation or a court process, but can find a way to move forward without professional involvement in your dispute.

Business Conflict Coaching

Business coaching is not too different from conflict coaching and deserves a mention here. Whether you're running a team, growing a business, or just trying to stay sane with all the demands on your time, coaching gives you space to pause, reflect and make decisions with more clarity and confidence.

My business clients use my conflict coaching sessions to sharpen their skill-set and consider tricky situations before deciding how to move forward.

One business client put it like this: "you've helped me better manage the rollercoaster and I can now better enjoy the ride".

Ready to book a set of 3 Coaching Sessions?

Coaching calls are done via Zoom. Unknotting an issue, or preparing a plan for future implementation can rarely be achieved in one session, so I offer conflict coaching in blocks of three sessions. Each session lasts 45 minutes.

I can offer coaching in the evenings and on weekends.

You can email me to set up a mutually convenient time for the three sessions.

I charge £250 (no VAT) for the three sessions. If during our first session, you decide that coaching is not for you, or we are not the right fit for each other, I will return your payment in full.
